Ghent University regards internalization as a constant theme in its education. In September 2014, Ghent University was invited to join Incheon Global Campus (Songdo International Business District, Incheon) through international development project by the Korean Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy, the Korean Ministry of Education, and Incheon Free Economic Zone; to innovate the education system of Korea and to nurture next generation of global leaders in the fields of education.
The Ghent University’s extended campus ("Ghent University Global Campus”) opened three bioengineering departments and offers same curricula/faculty as its home campus in Ghent, Belgium.
